1. Hookah SIZE
First, think about how big your pipe should be. There are 4 basic sizes - mini, small, medium and large
Mini pipes is best suited as a decoration. Although they can be smoked, the quality of the smoke is very low due to insufficient cooling and its taste is pungent. Small hookahs measures up to about 55 centimeters and is one of the best-selling. They are compact and practical, yet they offer sufficiently high-quality smoke. Medium hookahs they can still be transmitted well, but with handling it is a bit worse. However, a higher volume of water adds to the weight, but also to the stability. This size is best for you if you use the pipe primarily at home and from time to time you want to take it somewhere with you. Large hookahs they are then completely unsuitable for carrying, as they are heavy and space-consuming. However, they offer excellent stability and can also become the dominant decoration of a café or apartment.
2. SPARE PARTS
Make sure that spare parts are available for the hookah of your choice. If something breaks for you, you don't have to buy a new pipe right away. It is one of the most common parts users usually need crown, vase, tendon and ball of valves.
Crowns are usually universally compatible, so it should not be a problem to get a replacement. The same is true for the tendon, which is suitable for both different types of pipes and for different sizes. The problem usually occurs when replacing the vase. These are produced in several variants in terms of connection with the body. It can be a thread, bayonet or plug-in system.
3. STABILITY
Once the hookah has a larger vase base, it will also be more stable and therefore more practical for handling and use. If the pipe is stable, it is much less likely that someone will accidentally overturn or even break it by accident (for example, by pulling on the tendon). Therefore, do not forget to think about this aspect when choosing.
